Research Interests:

Previous research background

My previous research experience had focused on discovery and development of the cutting edge technologies for plant genetic engineering and tissue culture across economically important dicotyledonary and monocotyledonary crop species, and functional genomics for Phytophthora diseases in potato and soybean, including five-year experience at Monsanto Co..

Current Research Program

My current research focus is to develop plant transformation/micropropagation technologies and new plant germplasms using forward and reverse genetic approaches from concepts to commercial opportunities to help economic revitalization for Southern Virginia.
